Caroline Simpson

Caroline was admitted as a Solicitor in 2001 and joined her husband, Rod Simpson, as a solicitor at Simpson Partners Lawyers in 2017 having previously worked in a boutique firm in the CBD.

She has legal experience in a wide range of areas of law including commercial and retail leases, family law, debt recovery including issuing statutory demands and creditor’s petitions, wills and estates, complex property matters, adoption law, school and aged care law, litigation in the Local Court, District Court, Supreme Court of NSW and the Land and Environment Court.

Caroline has worked extensively for a large Government client advising on many areas of leasing including preparing and negotiating leases and agreements to lease, advising clients on their rights under a lease including their rights of termination.

She has also undertaken work for both large and small commercial organisations in the areas of leasing, retirement village contracts and Land and Environment Court appeals as well as assisting many individuals with legal solutions for estate matters, family law matters including for de facto relationships and divorce applications, and property sales and purchases.

Caroline’s current practice areas include:

  • Wills and Estates including advising on and preparing simple and more complex Wills involving testamentary trusts, the preparation of Enduring Powers of Attorney and Enduring Guardians; assisting clients to apply for Probate or Letters of Administration and administering deceased estates;
  • Property law including commercial and retail leasing, superannuation fund property transfers and conveyancing particularly involving large and/or complex property transactions.

Caroline is a conscientious and diligent lawyer who takes pride in providing clients with clear and accurate advice. She keeps up to date with developments in the law by regularly engaging in legal education programs.
